Congratulations, Mark

mark profileWe’d like to congratulate Mark Lundsten of Fidalgo Films for the full funding of his short film on Kickstarter.

Mark’s film, The Bath, is a movie about a family dealing with Alzheimer’s Disease.  Mark and his crew wrapped shooting the project earlier this year.  However, as is often the case, post production costs proved to be pretty high.  Mark chose Kickstarter as the fundraising platform and recruited SBT team member Courtney Holmes to assist.

Mark, Courtney, and the rest of the team pulled out all the stops to reach for the goal of $10,000 in 30 days.  Just take a look at some of the awesome articles Courtney wrote for the project.  Mark kept the project active with frequent updates, a necessity for any Kickstarter project, and the project reached full funding before he was even able to release his secret weapon, the trailer for the film.  Not only is it refreshing to be part of a community that takes creative projects like this seriously, but it’s also great to see one of our clients rake in yet another win.

Congrats to everyone who worked on the film.  We’re all excited to see the finished product.
